Danceworx holds auditions at the beginning of each semester. Auditions for each genre (jazz/contemporary, open, and tap) are held separately. For each genre’s audition, the first portion consists of stretching, warming up, and learning a short audition piece prepared by our student choreographers. Then, you will have some time to practice the piece. Finally, you will perform the piece in front of our choreographers in small groups. If a choreographer wants you in their piece, they will let you know afterwards!
You can audition for any and all genres and can be accepted by any and all of our choreographers. You can choose to stay in up to 3 dance pieces total.
For the Fall 2024 Semester, we will have both in-person and virtual audition options. If you cannot make in-person auditions, the virtual audition link can be found in our Instagram bio or by contacting us.
